Amar’e Stoudemire Dunks On Dante Cunningham, And Then D.C. Gets STAT Back

When Amar’e Stoudemire dunked on Dante Cunningham at the end of the first half, it’s safe to say the the rookie didn’t know what hit him. But then again, payback is a mutha. In the fourth quarter, with the Blazers leading and en route to victory, D.C. got his revenge.

Who got who worse?

Now these are dunks where people have actually been dunked! Not like some of the other “dunked on” posts.

  2. geoluhread says:

Stat’s dunk was more impressive, Richie was trying to stop him where as, richie caught stat by surprise.

  3. mules says:

Cunningham saw Amare heading to the rack, slid over, jumped, tried to swat the ball, committed the foul, and still ended up on a poster. Amare had his back to the play and didn’t even try to contest the dunk. So you could probably say Cunning ham got dunked *on* a little worse than Amare did…but it’s only because Amare didn’t even try to play D. What the hell was Stat looking at anyway?

  4. Big Aaron says:

Mules: “Amare didn’t even try to play D” … Like every other play in every other game then?

  5. ShowKase says:

D.C. gets props for where he started from, but STAT turned the kid into a poster.

  6. mules says:

Big Aaron: pretty much…but this is a particularly awful display. How do you not even turn to face the ball?

  7. bsteezy3 says:

STATs dunk was worse because dude contested it…

  8. geoluhread says:

    @bsteezy3

i don’t see how Stat’s dunk was worse. it’s because Cunninham attempted-ed contested-ed didn’t-ed block it. Stat’s dunk was better.

  9. Mike Honcho says:

    Here comes the Amare hate…

  10. barons beard says:

Stat didn’t even get dunked on, not really, he was in the vicinity of the dunk but hardly got dunked on. He was to busy checking out the Suns dancers to bother challenging

    Amare hands-down posterized the rook

  11. bsteezy3 says:

My bad dude, that’s what I’m saying. Stat’s dunk was nastier.

  12. geoluhread says:

ooooh ok. it sounded like you were saying his dunk was worse. my bad. <,<

  13. Bizz says:

Stat got dunked on. That’s what he gets for lazy HUSTLE down the floor to get in position to play DEFENCE…which apparently are the things we knock him for regarding being a top tier player. Paying attention Miami? As much as Beasley is a wild card, reasons like these are why Amare is not worth it.

Cunningham still got it worse in the 1st Q by far. It was like watching STAT on Olowokandi v2.0 lol.

  14. dagwaller says:

Anytime another man’s junk gets anywhere near the area that it did in Amar’e’s dunk, it’s automatic.

  15. F.L.A.S.H. says:

amare’s effort is why he will never be a starter on a championship team, the most this guy will do is reach his arms out a bit to try and “stop” a guy, give me chuck hayes or ronny turiaf over this soft piece of shit anyday. $20M per?! Fuck outta here…..

  16. oww says:

Stat’s was nastier, but Dante’s was definitely impressive. young boy knew what he wanted to do lmao he was flying

  17. POPPI GEE says:

Stat got him! lol Stat got him!

  18. pedro says:

Stat had is back to DC. Not really the same. Stat dunk was more impressive.

  19. hadoken says:

i dont consider that cunningham sneak attack as a legitimate “dunk on” but, seriously, what was stat looking for? turn around, they’re coming.

  20. the cynic says:

well, the difference between the 2 dunks is pretty obvious; one guy plays D and the other doesn’t

  21. Promoman says:

Amare won this one but it’s good that Dante got him back.

  22. Promoman says:

Amare won this one but it’s good that Donte got him back.

  23. BRoy says:

    that was nasty~ haha
