Earl Watson Sinks Half Court Shot At The Buzzer
Earl Watson is not normally one for YouTube highlights (or at least ones of his own), but this shot in last night’s game against the Bulls is kind of nasty. To have the composure to gather the ball after Tyrus Thomas knocked it away, and step up and knock it down from half court, shows why he’s been in the League so long.

Austin Burton says:
During the game the Bulls announcers wanted a backcourt call, so did Vinny Del Negro, and on NBA TV the studio guys were saying it should have been backcourt.
But I swear I’ve heard that the rule states the ball has to cross the line, not the foot. Or it’s both feet have to cross, something like that. Anybody want to look it up?

WTF?! If the defensive player knocks it into the backcourt, the offensive player can recover it without it being a backcourt violation.

Gary says:
Even if there is some rule about the ball or 2 feet or something, it looked like it was on the line anyway. Technically backcourt can’t happen until the ball and both feet cross halfcourt, but if it’s on the line they can review it.
