Kevin Durant Blocks Arron Afflalo With Only One Shoe

In case you missed this over the weekend, in the Thunder’s game against the Nuggets on Friday, Kevin Durant decided to put Arron Afflalo in his place. Other than dropping a cool 30 and getting the W, the Durantula blocked Afflalo with only one shoe.

nice, did what he was supposed to do.

  2. Tbest says:

Not because of the one shoe block, but this kid is going to be a SuperStar (probably already is). I think he has the potential to be a legendary player. If I’m starting a team tomorrow for the next ten years he’s probably #2 behind Lebron (assuming Kobe doesn’t have ten years left).

    @Tbest

I know! He dropped 45 last night!

  4. clay says:

    here’s a question
would he be allowed to use the shoe to block the shot?
As it’s part of his uniform? As far as i know yes as long as the shot isnt on the way down which would be goal tending

nike are gonna want to confiscate this footage

  6. Sweet English says:

    @ Clay

The real question is can he do what i like to call a ‘School Yard Block’ i.e Taking off his shoe, waiting under the basket and then lobbing it as hard as he can at any shots.

The more advanced version of this type of block is of course taking your shoe off, grabbing it by the laces, swinging round your head and catapulting it at the incoming ball.

As long as it isn’t goaltending.

And he doesn’t kill any fans.

  7. Sweet English says:

    or splash them with water.

  8. Michorizo says:

I give Durant an “E” for Effort but Afflalo was fouled…

  9. mules says:

No way that was a foul…any contact was created by Afflalo.

  10. srb says:

i love the look when he’s got the shoe in his hand and they’re coming back at him. “uh oh”

  11. weezy f says:

it was a foul and it was dangerous leaving the show on the court you could step on it and roll an ankle

  12. YG says:

    that was a foul. blatant.
