Breaking News: Antawn Jamison To The Cavs In 3-Team Deal (Updated)

Antawn Jamison

So Cleveland got their guy. Not that guy, but still a big trade nonetheless. According to the Washington Post‘s Michael Lee, and the NY Post‘s Peter Vecsey, the Cavaliers, Clippers and Wizards are in the midst of completing a three-way trade that sends Antawn Jamison and Sebastian Telfair to Cleveland, Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Al Thornton, Brian Skinner and a first round draft pick from the Cavs to Washington and Drew Gooden to Los Angeles. NBA Trade Rumor: The Sixers Turn Down Amazing Tracy McGrady Offer

Tracy McGrady

This is the sound of a Philadelphia 76ers fan’s head smashing on his desk at Dime headquarters. I was having a perfectly nice day up until this afternoon when I saw this item at the end of Kate Fagan’s latest “Deep Sixer” blog entry on Philly.com about the Sixers and their (potential) place in the Tracy McGrady trade talks. Absolutely horrifying.

NBA Trade Rumor: John Salmons On His Way Out Of Chicago

John Salmons

Forget Kirk Hinrich, Brad Miller and Tyrus Thomas, apparently the first guy out of Chicago is going to be John Salmons. According to ESPN.com’s Marc Stein, the Bulls are holding Salmons out of tonight’s game in New York in anticipation of a trade. Read More »

NBA Trade Rumor: Mike Conley On The Block

Mike Conley

It’s been known for months now that Mike Conley had to earn his keep in Memphis. And after a five-game losing streak, that has the Grizzlies sitting back at .500, apparently his time is up. So if you’re in search of a point guard, and Sergio Rodriguez doesn’t do it for you, then Conley could be your guy. Read More »

Trevor Ariza Crowns Mehmet Okur

Lost in all of the trade deadline stuff from today was this clip of Trevor Ariza murdering Mehmet Okur in last night’s Rockets/Jazz game:

Julian Wright Is Jealous Of Players Being Traded

Julian Wright

When all is said and done, Julian Wright could be one of those guys that never lives up to his potential. Kind of like Jermaine O’Neal, who spent the first four years of his career rotting on the bench in Portland, the 22-year-old Wright may just need a chance to play. And with the NBA Trade Deadline now less than 24 hours away, the 6-8 forward made it public yesterday – via Twitter – that he wishes he was also on the move. Read More »

Don’t write off Jordan Hill yet

Jordan Hill

By now you don’t need a Clyde Frazier pimp poem to tell you the Knicks probably wish they would have drafted Brandon Jennings — or Terrence Williams, or Tyler Hansbrough, or Ty Lawson — over Jordan Hill in last year’s NBA Draft.

Two-thirds of the way through his rookie year, Hill has played in less than half of New York’s games, and hasn’t done much (4.1 ppg, 2.5 rpg) when he does see the court. The 6-10 power forward out of Arizona appears every bit like just another left-too-early Draft bust. Read More »

NBA Trade Rumor: Spurs Trying To Move Richard Jefferson

Richard Jefferson

When the Spurs traded Bruce Bowen, Kurt Thomas and Fabricio Oberto for Richard Jefferson last June, most people thought that San Antonio could be title contenders once again. The plan was that Jefferson would give the Spurs an athletic wing who could play D and score the ball, but the only problem is, he’s having the worst season since his rookie year, averaging a measly 12.2 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game. So with one year and $15.2 million remaining on his contract after this season, the Spurs are more than open to moving RJ. But who wants him? Read More »

Breaking News: Nate Robinson Traded To Boston (Updated)

Nate Robinson

Even though I wrote earlier today that sending Nate Robinson to the Celtics would be the wrong thing to do, apparently Danny Ainge didn’t heed my advice. According to Newsday‘s Knicks beat writer Alan Hahn, the Robinson trade to the Celtics is a done deal. While details haven’t unfolded yet, we’ll update you as soon we know more.

NBA Trade Rumor: Sergio Rodriguez To The Grizzles, Knicks Or Nets

Sergio Rodriguez

With a bunch of teams in search of a point guard, GMs have started to scour NBA rosters. And one PG that has at least three teams buzzing is the Kings’ Sergio Rodriguez. According to the Sacramento Bee‘s Sam Amick, Memphis, New York and New Jersey have all inquired about the fourth-year player, who is also in the final year of his contract. Read More »
