Smush just isn’t a “Kobe-buttkisser”. The media made that whole “Kobe loves his teammates” image-rehab last year. I mean, Kobe was saying Pau was soft and that they shoulda kept Marc Gasol, but now that they won a championship, it’s like they’re close. Whatever man, Kobe is a smart individual, and a loner. I’m sure he snapped at Smush (and others) when they were fucking up and they dont’ appreciate that shit.

Bottom line, Smush is sitting on a bench at West 4th just happy that someone would actually interview him. He is trashing Kobe without backing up his feeling or opinions with any reasons. He blew a big opportunity. I’d be shocked if he gets another look in the league. Kobe may be too demanding, he may be the biggest dick in the league, I don’t know, but the league is about winning.

This guy really shouldn’t have been on an NBA court to begin with. I watched dozens of games with him, and he was by far one of the worst players I’ve ever seen. He MIGHT have had some legit athleticism, but his IQ is probably one of the lowest ever, if there was a choice to make on the court, he’d make the wrong one 99% of the time.

I really can’t think of a player who was lesser deserving of being in the league than Smush, he’s one of the few guys who have made it to the NBA where I would say I could very clearly beat in a 1on1.

Well this kind of figures, I always thought Smush was a Phil Jackson kind of player, I always kind of liked how he fit in with the Lakers. Ahh well, I mean the Lakers are Kobe’s team if you can’t get along with the alpha dog it’s likely you’re not going to be around too long. Even Shaq learned that lesson.

Smush a legend? No way. I know Boobie is referring to Smush’s exploits at West 4th but even in the playground circles, Smush is far from being a legend. Yeah, I’m going to post my real name and shit on a basketball forum (sure there are a lot of people who love my posts on here, don’t need a fan club haha).

I’ve played with plenty of pros, has beens and never weres. I have gotten offers to play in Europe (last one was same week I found out wife was preg, and it wasn’t like it was a huge offer and I have a great job, so I declined).

I’m 6’8 and 230lbs, what is Smush? like 6’4 180? I am sure I can shoot better than him, am almost as quick, am much stronger and can handle as good as him. The only way he probably beats me is straight vertical because my knee is slightly fucked (but rehabbing well). Like I said, I am sure I could beat him 1on1.

Calling Smush “the truth” is just insane. Yeah, all respect to him for making the NBA and cashing a few NBA cheques, but that don’t mean he was any good while he was there…

Smush was a top recruit coming out of high school. He ended up at Fordham. When he had every big school in the country after him. He was blacklisted/blackballed by Bob Hill former NBA/Fordham coach. He got drafted because he was killing D.Wagner in workouts. Smush is a very skilled player again better than a lot of players in today’s game. He could hang with the best of them. He played out of position on a poor Laker team. Don’t act like it was all bad. I watched games where he had 19pts in the 1st qtr & end with 20. Don’t judge him based sorely on the negative.
