Defining Dwight Howard’s place in Orlando Magic history

Dwight Howard

Dwight Howard isn’t as brand-new as you think. Though it doesn’t seem like that long ago since he took the stage on NBA Draft night ’04 with those braces shining on his teeth, and while his persona makes him seem younger than he is, Dwight is a veteran at 24 years old and now in his sixth pro season.

In other words, it’s not too early to discuss (or at least make realistic projections for) his place in history. Read More »

Danny Granger

Don’t get mad Cleveland fans, but it seems the media aren’t the only ones fueling the fire surrounding LeBron‘s departure from your great city. With Rafer Alston Suspended, Heat Add A Point Guard

Kenny Hasbrouck

With two empty roster spots and in dire need of a point guard after moving Rafer Alston to the suspended list for the remainder of the season, the Heat made a move today by signing former Siena shooting guard Kenny Hasbrouck. While it might not seem like much, this is a great move. (And during March Madness no less.) Read More »

Dominique Wilkins

It’s not everyday that you get to be in the presence of an NBA legend, but let’s just say our friends at the NBA take care of us. Last week, nine-time NBA All-Star Dominique Wilkins visited the NBA Store to take part in the Panini Adrenalyn Tour. Panini, the exclusive trading card partner of the NBA, launched a new interactive basketball-themed trading card game called Adrenalyn, so when ‘Nique wasn’t showing the kids how to play, we were able to get up with “The Human Highlight Film” to talk hoops. Check out the exclusive interview below. Read More »

Top 15 NBA In-Game Dunkers

Andre Iguodala

After some notable above-the-rim mishaps — namely a doomed 360 attempt snuffed out by LeBron James and a basic one-hander he missed all by himself in crunch time against San Antonio — Jason Richardson obviously hasn’t lost any confidence in his skills.

Putting the punctuation mark on last night’s Suns/Hornets game, J-Rich found himself on another fourth-quarter breakaway, and this time he successfully completed a 360. Read More »

NCAA Tournament Players To Watch: South Region

Purdue's E'twaun Moore

Earlier this morning we gave you four Players to Watch in the Midwest region. Here are four more from the South…

Pretty much everybody wrote them off when star forward Robbie Hummel went down with a season-ending knee injury in late-February, and the remaining stragglers signed Purdue’s death certificate after Minnesota ran through them in the Big Ten tournament. If anybody is going to cover for Hummel’s absence, it’s Moore (16.6 ppg). Read More »
