NBA.com compiled a video of their top 10 dunks of the season. Here at Dime, we thought this year’s best dunks could have EASILY been a top 20 list. Here’s the rest of the this year’s best dunks (in no particular order):

that d rose could have easily been #1. When you jump off 2 feet, giving the defender a lil extra time to jump and contest the shot, and you still smash on him TWO HANDED?? Dragic should’ve been called for a tech just for being done like that. the game should’ve been stopped

Corey over Fisher and Fisher’s reaction gotta down as the best sequence of getting s***ed on.
Wade over Andy was FILTHY. And Wade walked over homeboy kinda disrespectful.

The Josh Smith put-back dunk at the buzzer was CLASSIC.
Should’ve made the reel.
Corey bangin’ on Robin Lopez was MURDAH.
And for some reason I feel like Gerald Wallace had some joints this year but aint gettin’ no real love. Remember he pulled a lil’ move on LBJ and BLEW by his azz? Turned around in mid air to face Bron then YAMMED in his face…giving him a lil’ hump on the way down. Youtube it. It’s there.

‘Cause the joint STUCKEY got Iverson on was the funniest, dopest, saddest crossover EVER. It was like the Corey/Fisher dunk sequence, the simplicity of the move combined with a dramatic reaction.
Iverson’s legs should NOT have buckled. I mean, maybe a lil’…but not like THAT!! Geeesh. Youtube it. It’s there, too.

I would have had the same top three. If you were watching that Suns/Warriors game, the Amar’e dunk takes on more significance because of the timing and how it affected the momentum.

My favorites actually came from that dime list: the Ariza one and that Damien Wilkens dunk.
All of them were sick though. Thanks for the clips though…definitely bringing life to this Friday work day.

D-Wade dunked on a guy that is 6’11 and hes only 6-4. Look at the dunk on here or on Youtube and you will see how Anderson Varejo rolled like he had just gotten hit by a car and his head violently hits the padding under the basket. Than look how Lebron James and Moon just look down at him like DAM instead of them helping there teammate up like im sure Varejo would have if that was them. The only 1 that goes to help him up from his koodak moment is illgauskis because they did not want to be anywhere near those cameras that where clicking. Amare dunks on a guy that hes 2 inches taller than and you put that number? The people who made that #1 should be fired you on the spot because your basketball I.Q. is awful. I bet if a guy named Lebron at 6-8 would have done what Wade did at 6-4 to a guy like Varejo it would have been the greatest dunk ever huh???, because it was Lebron the MEDIA CHAMPION even though hes only 2-3 inches shorter and jumps higher.

I feel you on the significance of the dunk and what it meant to that particular game..but if you’re going by just the dunk itself and not the meaning behind it you cant deny wade that number 1 spot..
tolliver (thats who stat dunks on right?) really has no chance of blocking that shot..i mean he really should have just gotten out of the way..
with wade though..this guy is 6’11 and steps in front of him and jumps to block him..fouls him but gets hit so hard that he crumbles to the ground like shaq just dunked on him..that is a powerful soul crushing dunk..and then he walks over him very slowly and looks down at him..i mean..after that..how can you even take varajeo seriously as a basketball player? haha

Amar’e haters can’t even appreciate what a disgusting dunk that was. Tolliver was waiting, sized him up and went hard to block or at least foul him. Amar’e just went higher, harder and stronger, at a key point in a close game, took all the momentum and energy out of the building in one foul swoop
Not sure if it should be above Wade’s emancipation of Varejao though. The way Varejao looked like he had been haduoken’d into the stansion was classic
But each and every dunk on that list was filthy, and like you said could easily have been a top 20 this year

Some people dont know anything about basketball but they pertend and sometimes make there self look and sound stupid or may just be Biased just like a lot of people are for Lebron. Is it really Shocking if Shaq dunks on a guy that he 2 inches taller than unless its just a vicious and violent dunk like Wades dunk was??? Isnt it biased just to say that Durant is the player in the league just because he may score more effortlessly than Wade and Lebron with out taking into acconut that Wade and Lebron are the most Dominate players on both ends of the floor and you just make Durant MVP based on what he does on offense forget about how he impacts the game on Defense.
