Giveaway: Elton Brand’s Autographed Kicks
Elton Brand was a beast at Duke, and has been a 20-10 guy for most of his NBA career. But an Achilles injury in the 2007-08 season has had a big effect on his time with the Sixers and the five-year, $82 million man hasn’t worked out quite as planned. But with new coach Doug Collins and the No. 2 pick in this year’s NBA Draft, watch out for a rejuvenated Brand and Sixers team next year. It’s time to create some buzz.

We just got in this pair of signature Brand kicks from Converse and we’d like to give them away to one of our Facebook Fans. Our Facebook Page has given us another medium through which to connect with our fans, whether it be posting polls, original content not on DimeMag.com, and updating readers in real time. If you’ve got any suggestions for our Page, please send them our way.
We had a great time reading the entries for the unique D-Rose jersey and LRG Pack where you told us what your favorite Dime cover was and what your favorite championship team was, respectively, so we thought this contest would run along the same lines. This contest was inspired by Rajon Rondo’s loose-ball hustle play the other night that Celtics fans will not forget for a long time. So the question for this contest is:
What is your favorite play in NBA Playoff history and what did it mean to you?
Here are the contest guidelines:
1. In order to be eligible you got to be a “Fan” of or “Like” our Dime Magazine Facebook Page
2. Although we’re hosting the contest on DimeMag.com, all answers must be posted on our Facebook Fan Page on our Wall either as a “Wall Post” or “Comment.”
3. Your responses should be under 200 words, and to make it more engaging, please include either a YouTube link to the play you are referring to or a picture.
4. If you share the contest with your friend and your friend wins, you will receive a Nike “Puppet Revolution” T-Shirt.
5. Don’t be discouraged if five other people also picked Rex Champman’s three-pointer to tie it in Game 4 of the 1997 Conference Quarterfinals – the best answer will tell us why it was so meaningful to YOU.
6. The contest will end Sunday, May 30, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. ET
Good luck and let us know if you have any questions.
