We Reminisce: Top 10 NBA Championship Parade Moments
In case you didn’t know, the Los Angeles Lakers are having their NBA Championship Parade today beginning at 11:00 AM PST. Starting at the Staples Center and heading south on Figueroa towards the Galen Center, the Lakers expect over two million fans to line the two-mile route as the team celebrates their 16th banner. But unlike last year’s parade, there will be no post-parade event. Nonetheless, you know the streets will be mobbed. While we’ll be keeping you up-to-date on all the parade action, check out a compilation of the all-time Top 10 NBA Championship Parade Moments.
If you’re going to the parade today, make sure you tweet us pictures of the festivities. Perhaps we’ll even put them on the site.
If you’ve even been to an NBA Championship Parade, what’s your favorite memories from it?

As Pat Riley said in “Show Time”, it takes a “Superior Effort” to defend ones championship and repeat. The Lakers as a team did that, and now have a chance at another elusive 3peat. If Bynum shows the stones and heart that he did throughout the playoffs– the Lakers will succeed in accomplishing that goal in 2011. Thanks for the ride.
