Michael Jordan Teaser Trailer For NBA 2K11

For everyone anxiously awaiting the launch of NBA 2K11, 2K Sports revealed today “The Jordan Challenge,” a new game mode that allows players to relive 10 different legendary games from Michael Jordan’s illustrious career and challenge them to replicate what he did on the court in NBA 2K11. Check out the teaser trailer below.

“Fans of the series are going to be thrilled to know that in NBA 2K11 Michael Jordan is much, much more than just a cover athlete,” says Jason Argent, vice president of marketing for 2K Sports. “We’re excited to start talking about the ways that Michael will be used in the game and there’s still a lot more to come.”

While playing “The Jordan Challenge,” you can try to stun the world in Jordan’s self-described greatest game by torching the Cavaliers by 69 points in March of 1990; attempt to battle back from the flu to defeat the Jazz in Game 6 of the 1997 finals; or leave the world wanting more as they relive one of Jordan’s finest performances during his last game as a Chicago Bull on June 14, 1998. In addition to “The Jordan Challenge” mode, you’ll have the unique opportunity to play as some of the greatest teams in NBA history, including the ‘85-’86, ‘89-’90, ‘90-’91, ‘94-’95, ‘95-’96, ‘96-’97, and ‘97-’98 Chicago Bulls.

What do you think? What game are you most excited to play?

    That wasn’t much of a tease…

  5. fiyaman says:

30 secs to show a half dunk what a waste of time

  6. BeEqual says:

will there be a frustration button?? I wanna be able to throw the ball at the head of a frustrating defender. just like MJ!

In all seriousness though, this looks enticing. I’m hoping you can play with some of those other teams he faced too. Playing as the mid 90s Jazz/Rockets/Sonics/Magic would be pretty cool

  7. JAY says:

    @ BeEqual
Not sure if this is what you meant but I was wondering if we could choose the opposing team and try to stop Michael. That would be sick.

  8. ERIC says:

    @ JAY

Or be like Lebron, and join Michael so you dont have to bother competing.

  9. BeEqual says:

yeah thats what I meant. Michael aside, I think it’d be cool to relive a few of those mid 90s playoff series. Jazz/Sonics, jazz/rockets, bulls/knicks, bulls/cavs… etc.. let alone trying to stop MJ’s Bulls of the day.

    The original DOUCHE is back.

  12. Jay says:

They could’ve at least got the time frame right when showing an iconic NBA moment…

I was thinking they were gonna show MJ hitting a GW over the Jazz or the Flu Game… no they show him doing a dunk he did over a decade ago.

  13. Stunnaboy09 says:

While this Jordan mode looks nice, 2K better jsut stick with fixing the bugs and My Player. They do that and Jordan is just the cherry on top.

  14. stallmeister says:

Great, feet hovering over the court make it look very unreal from the start, and that dunk was from the Dunk Contest in Seattle 1987, not on a Bulls basket. That attention to detail makes me want to buy the game.

  15. king says:

they got the best Jordan sneakers ever in the game finally

  16. This_Will_Hurt says:

Cant wait to run w/ the Kings & Wizards & destroy all these lames who think they something. If you shoot the ball with Kobe everytime–you’re a faggot, and there’s plenty of those cats to go around.

  17. Q says:

can u play with michael jordan
