He never was Michael Jordan and he never will be Michael Jordan. MJ was a killer. An assassin on the basketball court whose goal was to cripple his opponent, both mentally and physically. Stripping players of their confidence, then burying them into the ground.
From what we’ve seen this summer, LeBron just isn’t wired that way. Read More »
I’m not quite sure why the producer of this clip chose the music they did, but I’m not one to complain about Louis Armstrong. Back in 2002, Amar’e Stoudemire was a project of a high school kid whose pro future was far from a sure thing. Now in 2010, he’s rocking a $100 million contract as the face of the New York Knicks and is one of the best players in the League. Here’s where the foundation was set:
LeBron, D-Wade and Chris Bosh could take a summer-long vow of silence (plus a Twitter fast) and they’d still be the most hated-on group of players in the NBA. After nabbing Trevor Ariza from the Rockets earlier today, according to ESPN.com’s Marc Stein, the Hornets sent Julian Wright to Toronto for Marco Belinelli. Especially with Darren Collison now gone, this should help bolster their backcourt depth. Read More »
What I’m about to tell you shouldn’t surprise you one bit. In a world where hip-hop artists sample ’60s rock songs, and NBA basketball players take ballet, it seems anything goes these days. So when I went to see Norwegian classical pianist Aksel Kolstad last night, and he was wearing a Technicolor blue suit along with white-and-orange Nike Shox, I kind of knew what I was getting myself into. But not really. Read More »
As reported earlier, the Pacers, Hornets, Rockets and Nets were involved in a five-player deal. The Pacers acquired Darren Collison and James Posey, Trevor Ariza will move on to his third team in three years as he becomes a Hornet, Troy Murphy goes back home to New Jersey with the Nets, and Courtney Lee brings his stellar defense to the Rockets. The trade seems to be beneficial for all teams, but from a player’s perspective, there are definitely some clear winners and losers. Read More »
