DimeTV: Gus Johnson previews the Knicks, shares his March Madness moments
What sports fan doesn’t love Gus Johnson? Whether you’re all about the NBA, NFL, college basketball or MMA — even if you’re just an avid Madden gamer — you’ve heard Gus calling the action in his uniquely high-energy style that transcends genres. At the same New York Knicks’ back-to-school event where we got up with Amar’e Stoudemire, DimeTV spent a few minutes with NYK play-by-play man (among many other titles) Gus to talk about the Knicks, his daily grind on the mic, and his burgeoning “Rise & Fire” apparel line.

Hands down, the best Gus call is “From The Parking Lot!” when my boy T.J. Sorrentine knocked down a dagger to ice the win against Syracuse in the Tourney.

The Xavier/Kansas St. double overtime game last year was made 100 times better because Gus called it, and that was one of the best games in the tourney anyways. Love that guy.

Those were both great, but my favorite Gus call was from a regular-season game between Gonzaga and Oklahoma State a few years ago.
