NBA Players Takeover HAX For The Best Run Of The Summer

What are NBA players doing this summer if they’re not playing in the World Championships? Well, we know more than a handful have been out in L.A. putting in work at HAX. In this video, you can see Team Muscle Milk with Brandon Jennings, Bobby Brown, Shaun Livingston and Julian Wright take on Team ESPNZONE with Nick Young, JaVale McGee and D.J. Strawberry in the championship game of the Nike Real Run. While Jennings’ squad dominated throughout the whole game, Young rallied a fourth quarter comeback, finishing with a game-winning shot in the final seconds. Check it out.

What’s the best pickup game you’ve ever seen?

    LOVE IT! The competitive spirit and the way they seemed to be going hard (offensively at least). Most impressive was seeing a 7fter like Javel McGee there. Big Guys usually don’t LOVE to play basketball and he clearly isn’t one of them. The guy will only get better every year with that attitude. And did he really have to duck sideways to not hit his head on the rim? WOW! Trade him to Chicago please. The Wiz can have Carlos Boozer, Loul Deng, or Joakim Noah…or any combination of them. Just send us Javel. Suprised they didn’t show him blocking any shots.

    P.S. To those guys sayin NBA players get abused on the playground, just know a guy like Bobby Brown who you see in the clip putting in major work, would give your fav street baller 50+ in a street game or reg game.

    wow video was sick. mcgee looks great- i drafted him past two years in fantasy and was disappointed; but i want to draft him again

    @Hahns,

    barring injury McGee should be good for a double double and 2-3blks a game. something like 12-10-3 with a high FG%. Plus he’ll have plenty of chances on offensive putbacks because of Wall and Arenas pentetrating the lane. Should be a good year for him.

    @ 1 – I agree!

    Love the positive posts, glad not to see “Even I could do that against that defense” type BS that sometimes pops up…

    @ 4 – LOL dude, last year when Jamison was hurt, I took a flyer out on McGee…and then it was Blatche puttin in work for the first couple months.

    But I ended up with McGee anyway, good sleeper waiver pickup.

    This year? He might be OVERrated on hype alone, but if you keep your expectations modest for him (per Chicagorilla), he won’t disappoint.

    Trade Gilbert ASAP and start Nick Young and Wall immediately.

    Where’s that at during the season Young?? Only LA is your house? You ball and get paid in D.C. That mid-range is all day for him, but he doesn’t step up to the challenge when someone is in his shirt and pushing him off his spots…

    Javele is a freak…hope he figures out how to control all of his body parts to make it work in a NBA season soon.

    Livingston looked more sure than last time I saw him…That starting spot for the Bobcats should be there for him…I don’t know how they think Augustine is that guy…

    Bobby Brown always does his thing when he gets a chance…too bad the Clippers are overloaded with guards that need minutes…

    Look like a great game to watch though…
