Serbia eliminates World Champs with an amazing shot
Milos Teodosic is the king of Serbia right now. Earlier today, the man who many think is actually the best player on the Serbian national team (over Nenad Krstic) knocked down a three to beat defending world champion Spain. How do you say “From the PARKING LOT!” in Serbian?
Unless you want to watch the entire last minute of the game, go ahead and skip to the 3:30 mark in this clip to watch the game-winning possession.

Rafa23 says:
there is normally no team other than the USA that can beat Spain. but without Gasol and Calderon, they just need everybody else to play great, which didn’t happen.
back in 05, they almost reached the finals of the European championships without Gasol if it hadn’t been for a Dirk game winner, but the world just got a lot better the last 5 years.
the way the Turkish fans support their team they r probably the only team that can beat team USA. not sold on Argentina or Lithuania beating them in the semis

Who’s the retard on spain that passed the ball to Jorge Garbajosa to make an off the dribble move with the game on the line?
Turkey would have worked spain, instead they’ll scrimmage against serbia

@4, 5, 6, 10 – Your comments give no respect to Serbia.
This shouldn’t come as a surprise. Forget today’s FIBA rankings….Spain, Turkey, Lithuania, Argentina – all bow down to Serbia’s rich hoops history. Yugoslavian teams – which have almost always been dominated by serbs – have won this chip 5 times (2x more than any other country).
Working headcases like Darko and radmanovic the past few years made us drop in the rankings…but we’re back on track with one of the best coaches in euroleague history and a new core of youth on the team.
Don’t underestimate our teams.

Serbia Turkey is gonna be a game. The serbs work too hard an have to much pride not to bring their A game versus the turks… I saw this shot live. The game was crazy too bad he didn’t do the big balls dance like his teammate did the other day. Russia is just as big as Turkey just less skilled so I’m expecting great D from russia tomorow and bad shooting from the us like they normaly do. Lithuania Argentina is gonna be a great game.
Spain didn’t let vasquez play when he was being a big factor on their comeback attacks over and over again. to see pau gasol his face all tight after the game was cool haha

Man that dude just straight pulled up in his grill. Did you guys notice what a fast release that he had?
Turkey is not going to give the US team any problems.
Rubio is overrated, he can’t do shit in big games.

gets me how dude let him shoot it. This was my first time seeing it and I could tell he was about to shoot even without looking at the clock. The way he squared his body up (the first 20 seconds he didn’t do that) the way he went directly to the middle to shoot a straight on shot. He let dude get a balanced shot that wasn’t all that far away. Basically a freebie, in that situation you want to make sure he shoots off balance and that he doesn’t get a good look, that’s it. Spain did neither and deserved to lose because of it.

I feel bad for Garbajosa: first he got Teosodic’s three in his face, then he turns the ball over when he should try to tie the game.
Congrats to the Serbs, they’ve been making big shots all through the game.

What an ill shot!!! This was probably the best game of the tournament so far. Tomorrows match up between Lithuania and Argentina is going to give me a stroke. Argentina is killin it so LTU really needs to step up and focus.
Lets Go LTU wat wat!!!!!!!

Garbo actually played solid D there. There was like 4 seconds left on the shot clock and Teodosic was about 8 ft away from the 3 point line. If Garbo played him tight, he would have just drove right around him for a wide open pull up jumper. They cleared out for him so no one could of helped. As a coach, I wouldn’t be mad at the way he played defence there.
The last possession however….

But it was a great game and a great shot to hit and a horrible shot to miss hehe
