Who Would Win: 1997 Chicago Bulls vs. Genghis Khan

Check out the latest spot for NBA 2K11 as Andre Iguodala, Rajon Rondo, Derrick Rose, Josh Smith and Russell Westbrook compare MJ‘s classic Chicago Bulls teams to squads in the NBA today. And Genghis Khan. Hilarious.

Which current NBA team would have given MJ and the Bulls a run for their money?

Lol. I’m mad about the Lakers comparison but good Commercial.

Are ya’ll ever gonna do an article comparing superteams of the past to each other?

If you do, save it for the next offseason when everybody comes off anothe Laker Championship High. It should generate a lot of debating.

I haven’t enjoyed commercials for a while.. Good job by 2k for bringing the funny!

    Bulls!

hahahaha, Reminds me of the old “Da Bears” skit from SNL. That is classic. Ron Harper blocking LO…i guess that’s possible. John Paxson draining fadeaways over Allen…yeh that could happen…but BJ Armstrong taking DWades cookies in the open court??? hahaha never in all of everdome would that ever occur. BJ couldn’t rip the 12yr old Wade let alone the NBa version. but that’s what makes the commercial so great.

Gotta say I’m pretty surprised DIME is hyping up 2K like this… not too long ago you guys seemed to be pushing NBA ‘Elite’. Didn’t you have some NBA ‘Elite’ ads up, too?

I guess you know 2K is the game to get. I played both demos and like 2K’s controls better. Elite seemed to have some control glitches, but I did like the create-a-player stats/xp feature. Not many options in the looks department, though.

Gotta backstep and take back the last sentence… I think more options open up for the player’s looks, but not completely sure.

I’m actually getting hyped for this now. I’ve said for years games should let you play any team from any year. It might settle a lot of hypothetical arguments.

Elite’s not coming out anytime soon, so why not run w/ 2K?

  9. Notorious says:

I think EA pulled any/all of the Elite ads as the game has been thrown into deep freeze. Due to consumer feedback, EA has pulled the plug on the Oct 5ht release and instead bumped it back to 2011 release, GameStop says April 2011. Ouch!

I am guessing Dime would give EA some plugs if there was something to plug, instead they are left with the same choice us consumers are, 2k11 or nothing.

Good news, NBA Jams will be a stand alone game now for PS3/Xbox, sounds like it will be a downloadable game from the PSN/XBL in November sometime. Awesome!

    no spinners. you cheatin’.

  11. Stunnaboy09 says:

Yeah, I guess Elite finally came to terms with their shit product they released and gave in. Too bad they did it so late, wasted all those resources they could have spent refining Madden (they should just focus on this, goddamit they have exclusive rights)and FIFA.

Love the Rondo “I’m standing right here” line :P

How much you wanna bet half these guys don’t know who Genghis Khan is?

  12. Sambuu says:

I know Chinggis Khaan (I’m from Mongolia)

  13. Sporty-j says:

I guess they waited for something big to finally happen in the NBA since Jordan left to finally make a game wher the old school could play against the new school. I would get old school Barkley and put him under the rim so Lebron can show him just what a PUNK move is. How about Magic, Jordan, Bird, Barkley, and whoever vs the Heat on that game??? HEEAAATTTT…

  14. hooper5013 says:

    @ sporty-j

Son you think LeBron wanted to have on the court beef with Chuck Wagon (Barkley)! There would be no dunking on Chuck he would set Bron-Bron on his ass after the first attempt and he would never come back. Thats a guarantee brother. Anyways. Heat vs. Jordan Barkley Bird and Magic and you got the heat winning. Ok now I know this is a joke carry on….

Good commercials though. I hope Josh Smith plays well this year. He is got all sorts of talent
