NBA Rookies: My iPod Playlist

While I was at the NBA Rookie Photo Shoot in August, I was able to get up with all 40 NBA rookies in attendance and ask them each five questions. All 30 first rounders were there (except No. 17 Kevin Seraphin who was getting his visa), as well as 10 second round picks and undrafted Jeremy Lin. Watch as they tell DimeTV what’s in the rotation on the iPod. (Note: Some of these albums had just dropped.)

    I dont even have to watch the vid, i already knw the lameness going on. Pro athletes are so out of touch with true culture now n days. Its a shame really because as role models to the youth they can change alot of the garbage music (anything Gucci, Plies, Drake and Wayne make) but their circle of ass kissers never tell them how lame it is. Take LBJ for example, he has no idea how lame he looks rappin and dancing during timeouts, and no one has the balls to tell him he looks like a hype (crackhead). At least J.Cole (best artist ive heard since Lupe) is getting some love. Wale, K.R.I.T., Curren$y, Wiz also.

    cant blame them tho, these are young guys who have spent their lives in a gym, they don’t really care about things like music, they just take what they’re given. its a bit surprising tho that no one mentioned Big Boi, Yelawolf or Curen$y, the guys who have put out probably the 3 best major label releases this year.
