Giveaway: Limited Edition Mick Boogie x HOMAGE NBA JAM T-Shirt

Giveaway: Limited Edition Mick Boogie x HOMAGE T-Shirt

In addition to the mixtape we dropped earlier today, Mick Boogie collaborated with the vintage t-shirt designers of HOMAGE to create a limited edition ’93 ‘Til Infinity/NBA JAM inspired tee to celebrate the release of the mix. And as we’ve been known to do, we’re hooking up our faithful readers. Check it out after the jump.

If you wanna get your hands on one of these (and we have four to giveaway), answer the following question:

Who would make the best NBA JAM duo of all-time?

The best and most creative answers will win. But if you don’t want to chance it, you can buy the shirt HERE.

The greatest 2 on 2 basketball movie to go along with the greatest 2 on 2 video game. NBA Jam’s original rosters were from the 1992-1993 season, and ironically White Men Cant Jump was realeased in 1992.

Hands down, this would be the greatest NBA Jam duo of all time.

Forreal there would be no better nba jam combo than Mr. 720 and Len Bias! with half Vince half amazing as a sub.

or if u wanna play on fire all game long….Dell Curry and Steph Curry. Splash allllll day

  • nbaman

The first thing you need to win in NBA Jam is a long range shooter. So you’d think I’d go with NBA career 3-pt percentage leader, Steve Kerr (you have to go by percentage, because 90′s video games were very simple, so they couldn’t take much more than percentage into account to determine quality). However, he’s only 6’3″, so he would end up being the small body type player. That’s no good. The small guys can’t finish near the hoop (they always do the finger roll), and that means easy blocks which means they are a bad option.

So because of that, my first selection is current Sixer and 3rd on the career 3-pt percentage list, 6’8″ Jason Kapono.

For my other choice I obviously want a dominating big man. Initially I thought of a Tyrannosaurus Rex. No speed though, and small arms. Not good for the defense, which is an often overlooked, but yet essential part of NBA Jam.

So that led me to Plastic Man. Seemingly an odd choice, because’s probably the 83rd best super hero around. So why Plastic Man and not say Superman? Well part of it has to do with the fact that he would often be overlooked by opponents because as I said before he’s a generally ignored super hero. If I picked Superman, my opponent would always be wary of him and would play a more cautious game. But with Plastic Man, no one is going to hesitate to try and play a typical wild, chaotic game of NBA Jam.

Big mistake though. Plastic Man can stretch his body in any way, shape, or form. Which means he could block virtually any shot. From virtually anywhere on the floor. Also, he could dunk from behind the 3-point line. Something none of us thought we’d see until after All Sport changed the game (go here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ft8B9OSuu1E) if you’ve already forgotten or if you are under 25).

So there you go, Jason Kapono and Plastic Man. You probably aren’t afraid thinking about going up against that duo. But let’s see how you feel after four quarters.

no question, you’d have to put God Shammgod out there with Earl “The Goat” Manigalt. Sure neither played in the league but with the sick handles of Shammgod and Manigalt’s thunderous Jams they would dominate the game like no other duo in history. If they got a third guy off the bench I think I would have to pick “Air Up There” Taurian Fontenette.

  • bg187

John Starks and Patrick (Ch)Ewing were unstoppable. I would put them up against any combination on this list

  • J-Live

    Jordan and Dwight Howard!!

  • Vince Defebo

    Earl Boykins and Gheorghe Muresan

    or
    Fat Lever and Xavier McDaniel

    or
    Mugsey Bouges and Manute Bol

    or
    Pooh Richardson and Bill Wennington

    or ugliest team ever
    Tyrone Hill and Uwe Blab

Dwight Howard and Penny Hardaway! How awesome! That will be my go-to team on the new game. Hmm…the possibilities.

Instead of rockin’ their signature kix…penny loafers. Yezzir!

    Orlando Magic 2011
    2011 UCF Knights FTW!!!

Wilt Chamberlain and Kobe Bryant – NBA Jam is all about scoring…this pair would be UNSTOPPABLE.

  • Michael Poulos

If we are talking about which ones were the best we have to go with the Shawn Kemp and Gary Payton combo!

I use to dominate with that!

You got Kemp being a beast down low on the block and the jam (hence the name NBA JAM!) and if he gets double teamed trying to stop him, then you kick it out to GP for the tre’ bomb which he is so money! Need a steal? GP your dude on that! Need a block? Shawn Kemp got it.

Boom Shaka Laka, perfect combo! Wish those guys got rings together.

  • http://www.facebook.com/doctorscanner Vinnie V

Vince Carter and Justin Darlington, arguably the two best dunkers (Pro and Non) in the world. BOOM SHAKA LAKA!

  • Deek

The Glove (GP) an Micheal Jordan (MJ)
    Or
Lebron James an Kevin Garnett (KG)
    Or
    Shaquille O’Neal an Kobe Bryant

  • http://patrickspads.blogspot.com T-Wah

Karl “The Mailman” Malone and Dennis “The Worm” Rodman…wrestling rivals and NBA Jam teammates.

  • Shou

    Lebron & KDurant

  • William P

I would definitely say Scottie Pippen and Dominique Wilkins. They make a great matchup!

  • Anna P

Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe Bryant can go all the long. They have chemistry and great composure, with the experience and the status they both achieved. They can easily be the NBA JAM duo of all-time.

  • Bill The K

    Kurt Rambis and Kevin McHale

  • Melissa Foltz

    Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Moses Malone

  • Karl_M

Sidney Deane & Billy Hoyle would make a dope couple, but they’re not exactly NBA material, plus they’re not even real. This is NBA JAM after all. So for creativity and originality, I’ll roll with The Reignman & The Doctor. Shawn Kemp provides the thunder, Dr. J brings the lightning.

  • Jay H

    Magic/Malone

This would be the greatest duo ever!
