Bidding Basketball: Original Air Jordan 1 & NBA JAM Arcade Machine

1985 Original Nike Air Jordan 1 OG Carolina Blue

The NBA and adidas may have an exclusive merchandising deal, but the $400 million-plus agreement is definitely not respected on eBay. Even if the Association expands into Europe, Stern won’t be able to stop the movement of Bill Laimbeer video games, old Jordans and bootleg laundry bags from one fan to another. Then again, why would he? eBay’s stockroom beats any store’s, and a fan wearing a jersey is still a fan wearing a jersey. Stay tuned for a look at cheaper, misspelled NBA-related gems, as well as the expensive, hurt-your-feelings stuff. Read More »

Daily Fantasy Diagnosis: 11.19

Danny Granger

Beast of the Night: Danny Granger put up 22 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals, 2 blocks and hit 4 threes in an easy victory over the Clippers. He shot 43 percent (6-14) from the field, 86 percent (6-7) from the field and had no turnovers. Granger’s knack for racking up DNPs scared a lot of owners away on draft day, but he’s returned top-10 value so far this season. Nevertheless, the DNP risk remains. Read More »

Eric Gordon Takes Roy Hibbert To The Spa For A Facial

Forget this list. Besides perhaps his teammate Blake Griffin, there hasn’t been a better dunker in the NBA this season than Eric Gordon. I just don’t know what’s gotten into him.

Dwight Howard crushes injury-depleted Suns

Dwight Howard

Could you, with a straight face, make an argument that Robin Lopez is more valuable to the Phoenix Suns than Steve Nash? If you watched the Suns get dropped into the proverbial oubliette last night by the Magic, you could. Nash missed the game with a groin injury (maybe or maybe not the byproduct of somebody’s reaction to Nash announcing his divorce the same day his wife had a baby), but perhaps more important, Lopez was out with a knee injury that will keep him sidelined for about a month … Without Lopez, the Suns were using guys like Earl Barron, Earl Clark, and somebody named Garrett Siler to man the post. College Football Betting Results In Phoenix Suns Snuggie Exchange

Channing Frye

I’m not a big fan of college football, so excuse me for not knowing that Stanford destroyed Arizona to the tune of 42-17 in their highly anticipated showdown two weeks ago. But I knew something was up when this photo of a surly Channing Frye surfaced the other day via Josh Childress. Turns out these two Pac-10 alumni made a little wager. Read More »

Step Your Game Up: The 5 Most Disappointing Teams in the NBA

I’m sure we’ve all had teachers who cared enough to preach to us about doing better on tests and having the potential to succeed in a course if we only applied ourselves more. I’m sure we’ve even had those teachers with higher expectations, suggesting we were capable of going from an A to an A+ when we’re especially strong in a subject.

Pro sports teams have to deal with the same scrutiny when they’re not playing up to certain standards already established for them. Here are five teams that could use a pep talk from my 12th grade Geometry and Discrete Math teacher, Mr. Pupko. Read More »
