After 60 straight days on the road, the 2010 EA Sports NBA JAM Invasion Tour wrapped up Monday night outside of the American Airlines Arena as the Hornets took on the Heat. Finishing strong with 726 fans playing the game, that brought the tour total to 20,097 participants. Wow. Read More »
I don’t know much about rock and roll, but I have seen Saving Silverman. So when I read this morning that Neil Diamond had been elected into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, I couldn’t do anything but laugh. Again, all I know about Diamond is that he makes corny songs while wearing cornier outfits.
Meanwhile, the Basketball Hall of Fame selection committee is determining whether to induct a man who would show up to the ceremony in an outfit with more glitter than anything Neil Diamond ever wore on stage. Read More »
The buzz last night/this morning about “The Baptism” completely overshadowed some other crazy plays in the NBA last night – most notably a Monta Ellis h-o-r-s-e shot and an Andre Iguodala dunk that would have been the Dunk of the Night on pretty much any other day. Both are included in NBA TV’s Top 10 from yesterday:
On Monday night, a high school player from Desoto High in Arcadia, Florida went absolutely berserk on a referee over a foul call. There isn’t a whole lot of info out there about what happened to set off the incident other than this video we posted on HighSchoolHoop.com. Craziness breaks out around the 1:15 mark. Read More »
As the Lakers/Nets/Rockets trade yesterday opened the door for another round of Carmelo Anthony rumors and scenarios, it also inevitably led to further discussion on the future of J.R. Smith.

It’s only a matter of time before DeMar DeRozan goes the route of Vince Carter and Tracy McGrady, and I don’t mean out of Toronto. Watch one of the Young Onez throw down the ridiculous dunk on Tyrus Thomas as His Airness watches.
A three-team deal emerged Tuesday night that had the New Jersey Nets send Terrence Williams to the Houston Rockets and Joe Smith to the Los Angeles Lakers. In return, the Nets will receive Sasha Vujacic from the Lakers along with a 2011 first-round pick, and a Lottery-protected 2012 first-round pick from the Rockets. The Rockets also sent Jermaine Taylor to the Sacramento Kings for a future second-round pick in order to make room for Williams. While there aren’t any landscape-shifting moves here, it does open the door a bit wider for a move that could have much bigger implications. Here’s a quick rundown of the fantasy fallout: Read More »
We know everybody is trying to push this renewed Celtics/Knicks rivalry (or whatever Paul Pierce wants to call it), and we appreciate NBA TV giving us some 1985 Celtics/Knicks action during the workday yesterday. But what’s up with Pistons/Hawks? There has to be something in the archives with Isiah, Dumars, Dominique, Spud, Rodman and Kevin Willis. Matter of fact, we wouldn’t mind some 1997 Grant Hill vs. Mookie Blaylock re-runs … Last night’s Hawks/Pistons game had plenty throwback appeal. Read More »
