Breaking News: Shaun Livingston Does Not Throw Games

If you didn’t watch the Bobcats/Celtics game last night, then you probably missed Shaun Livingston fouling Paul Pierce at the end of the game with the C’s down five. Pierce made the first two, but then intentionally missed the third to try and get the tip. Unfortunately for him, Gerald Wallace got the rebound and the game was over. After the game, Livingston (who finished with 18 points, four rebounds, three assists a block and a steal in 22 minutes off the bench) felt the need to set the record straight.

Daily Fantasy Diagnosis: 2.8

Carmelo Anthony

Beast of the Night: Carmelo Anthony torched the Rockets with 50 points, 11 rebounds, a steal, three blocks and two three-pointers. He shot 67 percent (16-24) from the field, 89 percent (16-18) from the free-throw line and had four turnovers in the loss. Anthony continues to be swarmed by drama but remains a solid fantasy player, despite the horrid assists-to-turnovers ratio so far this month (0.8 assists, 3.5 turnovers per game). Read More »

Carmelo drops 50 in a loss; Cavs lose NBA record 25th straight

Carmelo Anthony

Losing was the theme of the day in the NBA. In Denver, Carmelo Anthony turned in his best effort of the season, but just as you’d expect in this strange trip for the Nuggets, his team still lost the game at home to a Lottery-bound opponent … On his way to dropping 50 points (16-24 FG, 16-18 FT) on the Rockets, Carmelo treated Shane Battier like an assistant coach in a practice drill, and when Houston tried to mix it up, ‘Melo made Chuck Hayes look like Chuck E. Cheese. ‘Melo added 11 rebounds and 3 blocks … But somehow it still wasn’t enough. Read More »

In January, Phoenix signed guard Zabian Dowdell for the D-League’s first Gatorade Call-Up of the season. Today, the Suns announced they have signed him for the rest of the year. Curtis Jerrells With The Ankle Breaker & Poster Dunk

Remember Curtis Jerrells from Baylor? Perhaps you know him better for his brief NBA stints with the Spurs and Hornets. Well, now Curtis plays for KK Partizan in Serbia, and last night he got straight grimey. Watch him break dude’s ankles and then yam all over the weak side defender. Oh yeah, and the Austin, Texas native is only 6-1.

Lamar Odom On Kobe: “He Wants To Be Better Than Michael Jordan”

Don’t ask me how I stumbled upon Lamar Odom‘s interview in the new issue of Playboy, but I’ll be the first person to tell you to read it. Spanning everything from learning the game in New York City to his controversial college career to his first couple years in the League, L.O. is brutally honest in everything he discusses. So much so that when he’s asked what would happen if a sex tape of him and his wife Khloé Kardashian leaked out he responds, “We wouldn’t have anything to be ashamed about.” But amidst all the stories, there’s one that stood out to me about Kobe Bryant – probably because he vocalized something that we’ve all been thinking for years.
