Trailer: The Hangover Part II
Get excited!
We mentioned this in passing earlier, but now it’s for real: the Celtics have signed Chris Johnson of the Dakota Wizards, and he’s checking in for the Celtics RIGHT NOW on TNT against the Nuggets.
Blazer fans are probably already familiar with the 6-11, 210-pound center, as Johnson was first called up by Portland on Jan. 24 after averaging 16.9 points, 9.6 rebounds and 2.8 blocks in the D-League. Also, diehard Celtics fans might remember that Johnson was also in Celtics training camp in October. Read More »

You can’t imagine how many people have hit me up today asking for my thoughts on the Kendrick Perkins/Nate Robinson trade. At first, I was as surprised as any of you. But after realizing at the start of the season that we (I’m speaking as a Celtics fan here) wouldn’t have the money to be able to re-sign Perk this summer, I knew there was always the chance that he wouldn’t be there for the quest to Banner 18. But for those of you that wanna blame Danny Ainge, you can cop this. Read More »
Another year, another NBA Trade Deadline gone by. As you probably would expect, the Dime office was Ground Zero today for anything and everything trade related. Whether it was Twitter, texts or phone calls, we were constantly on our toes looking for the most up-to-date info to relay to you, our readers. With players’ names being thrown around more than the gut of Chris Farley in a Matt Foley motivational speaker skit, it was difficult forecasting what gossip would end up reality. We had the rumor earlier today, but the Grizzlies and Rockets made it happen. Here’s the final deal: Houston sends Shane Battier and Ish Smith to Memphis for Hasheem Thabeet and a first-round pick. According to ESPN.com’s Marc Stein, the Rockets went deep in talks with Philly on a Battier for Marreese Speights and Jason Kapono deal, but ended up choosing Thabeet instead. Read More »

Depending on who you ask, the Indiana Pacers just dodged a bullet. Shortly after the NBA trade deadline passed, when deals that had been agreed up before the 3 p.m. buzzer were still being announced, the Pacers and Grizzlies had reportedly agreed to a deal sending O.J. Mayo to Indiana for Josh McRoberts and a first-round draft pick.
That trade isn’t happening. Apparently Memphis backed out of the agreement at the last minute, and it couldn’t be saved before the deadline. Read More »

WOJ is KILLING it today. His Twitter account has been ground zero for every bit of breaking NBA trade deadline news. One of the many deals he broke this afternoon actually looked to be dead right up until the 3p.m. deadline. At the last minute though, the Portland Trail Blazers and Charlotte Bobcats pulled off a deal to send former All-Star Gerald Wallace to the Great Northwest. Read More »
After seeing Carmelo Anthony and Deron Williams move East, the Thunder are making moves to battle the Lakers and Spurs this year. According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports, the Thunder have added Nazr Mohammed from Charlotte in exchange for D.J. White and Mo Peterson. This comes just minutes after hearing that OKC traded for Kendrick Perkins and Nate Robinson.
