Nicki Minaj Gives Chris Paul A Lap Dance In Front Of Lil Wayne

“It’s good to be home, New Orleans.” That’s what Lil Wayne told the audience last night after taking the stage in front of a sold-out crowd at New Orleans Arena. As part of his “I Am Still Music” tour, Weezy treated the hometown fans to surprise appearances by Drake and Chris Paul. But I don’t think CP knew this was going to happen when Nicki Minaj invited him out. I mean, he was wearing a Young Money chain…

Best NBA Highlight Of The Year: J.R. Smith vs. Dwyane Wade vs. Blake Griffin

Best NBA Highlight Of The Year

This season, we were gifted with so many amazing highlight plays, that it’s tough to decide just which one is the clear-cut favorite. Between buzzer beaters, trick shots and Blake Griffin being Blake Griffin, it’s been a crazy year. So, in the interest of being able to relive more of that awesomeness, I’m sticking with my top-3. The Western Conference Playoffs: A Dime Roundtable

The Western Conference Playoffs: A Dime Roundtable

If you missed the Eastern Conference Roundtable, this is its Western Conference counterpart. Below is a breakdown of each series, with exclusive insight from various experts, including the shady AAU guy, the 12th man on your school team and that Laker fan who wears $400 sunglasses. Again, we recommend using this information to place large bets on your hometown team, unless you live somewhere other than Texas or California. Read More »

Keys Open Doors: 8 Non-All-Stars That Will Decide The First Round

Lou Williams

It’s tired and cliché but it’s still true: the playoffs are a different animal than the regular season. What worked during the 82-game run may not work in the playoffs. Still, normally you can find clues to determine who will move on and who’s starting the summer early, and it’s not always the big names that make the difference. It’s the supporting cast, the good players, the guys only the bloggers and hardcore fans who watch the same team every night of the year truly appreciate. (Guys like James Harden.)

With that, here are my key players for each series: Read More »

James Harden Is The Oklahoma City Thunder’s Championship X-Factor

James Harden

This much we know. Behind Kevin Durant acting as the “one” in the Oklahoma City Thunder’s one-two punch is Russell Westbrook. But to make a run in the playoffs, the other, other guy that could punctuate OKC’s ascent to elite heights is James Harden; the lightening bolt that could roll the Thunder deep into the playoffs.

He’s smart. He’s savvy. He’s hardworking. He’s unnoticed. A No. 3 overall draft pick (he went a pick ahead of Sacramento Kings guard Tyreke Evans, by the way), the shooter/slasher is averaging 15.8 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists since the All-Star break. Read More »

2010-11 Fantasy Basketball Honors

Kevin Durant

MVP: Kevin Durant wins this honor despite having a disappointing season. Despite seeing season-over-season declines in points, rebounds, assists, steals, field-goal percentage and free-throw percentage, KD was able to put up No. 1 averages in 2010-11. That says quite a lot about his shot at retaining this crown for many seasons to come. You can pretty much scribble his name at the top of your 2011-12 draft-day cheat sheets now. Read More »

San Antonio Suffers A Huge Loss; Deron Williams May Stay With Nets

Deron Williams

First the Lakers with Andrew Bynum and now this? The juggernauts of the West really should’ve just skipped the final few days of the regular season all together. Reports are now surfacing out of San Antonio’s camp that Manu Ginobili is doubtful for the first game of their series against Memphis with a hyperextended right elbow. An MRI yesterday confirmed the injury. During their game against the Suns on the season’s final night, Ginobili was running off a screen and tried to grab a hold of his own man to use his momentum to curl around. The problem was that Grant Hill was right behind him and sort of ran up his back, hitting him in just the right spot so that Manu’s elbow hyperextended. It wasn’t pretty. Read More »
