Just like that, it’s all tied up. In response to some mix-matching with the Mavericks lineup, Rick Carlisle got some help for a sick Dirk Nowitzki in helping Dallas climb back to a 2-2 series tie. And before you ask, yes, this post is going to come across a little LeBron-haterish.
In Game 4′s tweets, we learn who the T-Mobile girl is and rave over a sighting of The Custodian. And of course, us media are going to go crazy on LeBron James after he shrunk in Game 4, but before reporters made him sweat after the game, the Twitterverse was already ragging on the King. Read More »
What a terrible great game. Seriously. The final few minutes were just piles of missed shots. We kept waiting for that dagger. It never really came. Eventually, Dirk Nowitzki made one more bucket than Miami did, wheeling to his right side around Udonis Haslem and hitting the go-ahead layup to send the Mavs to a 86-83 win and a 2-2 series tie. This game, whether it should’ve been or not, was about two superstars, one who rose to the occasion (sort of) and one who wilted (sort of). Read More »
It’s put up or shut up time for the Dallas Mavericks. They’ve been against the ropes all series long but Sunday’s Game 3 presented them a great opportunity to pull ahead and retain home-court advantage. If you know me, you know how big a fan of A Tribe Called Quest I am. Smooth. Versatile. Jazzy. Just the way I like my hip-hop. Sometime last week, I got put onto another mixtape of Tribe, this time from DJ M-Rock (you can check it out here). It was dope. It flowed (the transition from “Find My Way” to “Breathe & Stop” is crazy). It took me back to middle school, back to college when I used to go through speakers once or twice a year blasting Midnight Marauders. Read More »
How quickly we forget. 36 years ago to the day, the legend of Allen Iverson was born. Only two years ago, the name Allen Iverson was relevant to the basketball world.
