LeBron James Shows Out In Surprise Appearance In Cleveland

What happens when LeBron James decides to make a surprise appearance at the Chris Chambers City League Classic in Warrensville Heights, located just 17 miles outside of Cleveland? This. Playing with some of his old St. Vincent-St. Mary High School teammates such as Dru Joyce III and Romeo Travis, you knew Akron was going to come out on top.

What do you think?

DeMar DeRozen had a better summer league highlight reel… LBJ didn’t look like the greatest in the game going at average players.

I heard LeBron only played the first 3 quarters.

  • Celts Fan

Here’s a hint: Once ESPN takes a stale joke, that was funny for 2 days about 2 months ago, and puts it in a stale, contrived awards show, it’s time to stop using the joke.

Lebron’s keeping up with the trend of off-the-backboard dunks: TMac-Durant-Faried-LBJ

I wonder if these guys get bored of playing that level of competition all summer … it’s probably comparable to me playing against a bunch of 7th graders.

I’m really surprised that of all the places he could play in America, he chose Cleveland. Good PR move. If he’s the one that had the idea, +1 dag point.

Im not a LBJ fan, but he had some sick highlights. His jump shot is improving, still have to work on that post game. Cant wait for the season to start back up!

I honestly still don’t understand how LBJ became so hated for making a career decision? Cleveland fans get over it. If that team was supposed to be so good around him then why didn’t they even make the playoffs as an 8-seed? I am not a LBJ fan. However, the people who seem to be pulling against him for leaving and going to Miami and teaming up with DWade and Bosh are the SAME cats who play fantasy sports instead of pulling for THEIR team good or bad. LBJ would have NEVER won a title in Cleveland. He woulda went down as one of the greats WITHOUT a ring. Miami witha legit PG and inside presence(not scoring) will be damn near unstoppable…and as a Celtic fan I hate even saying that ish. But it’s the truth. So, their first year together they didn’t win it…but I bet you they will win possibly the next 3 out of 4. A healthy HAslem all season changes a few things as well. What team is gonna be able to deal with them? Chicago? Not enuff scoring options. Boston? We too old now. Orlando? Van Gundy. LA? (Mike Brown) Kobe on his downside may challenge. Hence the 3 outta 4. SA? Old. OKC? Possibly if the pecking order is established. Dallas? I’m thinking one-hit wonders. Memphis? Not sold on last seasons success.

is it a career decision to disappear in the Finals?

Just saying, a lot of NBA ballers have run the shit out of summer league games, Harden, Durant, Jennings, Wall, etc… they look like NBA guys going at summer league players… LeBron made it look competitive. I’m not even a LeBron hater, I just expected him to be head and shoulders above anyone on that court.
