Well, the NBA lockout has arrived. We’ve seen it coming for a while, but now that it’s here, the fact that we may not have an NBA season come fall is starting to sink in. It’s a feeling that really hasn’t been present since the 1998-99 season, the last time there was a lockout. That one, like this one, started on July 1. But the year was 1998. A lot has changed in the 13 years since then. Here’s a look at some of the major differences between then and now:
