Battle Of The Summer: Josh Selby vs. Brandon Jennings, Part 2
Back in the day, real summer battles meant two players going back and forth, D-ing each other up and playing for respect. At times, it’s felt like those battles have gotten lost over the years. But Brandon Jennings and Josh Selby are bringing it back this year. We showed you their first showdown back in July that had the hoop world buzzing. Now here’s the rematch with Jennings dropping 25-30 and hitting several ridiculous threes while Selby again went for 40+ points.

josh played great last night as well, leading his team to the championship. they were trailing throughout the whole 4th quarter and josh kept raining three’s. hit a three at the buzzer to send it into overtime, where his crew eventually won. nice little matchup w/ dontae greene and mike beasely as well. both plays of the night came courtesy of greene, who caught a crazy alley oop from selby on one as well as one of the nastiest facials you’ll ever see that he rammed home after dribbling full court on some poor fella. memphis could’ve gotten the steal of the draft w/ josh. he’s showing everybody that the foot issue at kansas is history and why he was considered a one-and-done lottery prospect coming out of high school.

Thats the Josh Selby I had hoped my Knicks would of picked up in the 2nd round – oh well. I look forward to seeing what he does against NBA competition next seas- uh never mind.

I really don’t see what some of you like so much about Jennings. Oh yeah, it also looks like he was getting outplayed by Selby, a dude that should be nowhere near his level.
