Despite what you may think, most NBA players don’t set sail for the Caribbean once the season ends; many decide to live in the gym. This is definitely the case for Kevin Durant and Joe Johnson. With that, watch these two workout at the University of Miami this summer.

    I always knew JJ had handles but when you see him side by side with one of best players in the league he looks that much better. He has, kind of, a Magic swagger.

    And you see just how much more complete JJ’s game is compared to KD. JJ is givin dudes the business with his j’s, floaters, and layups while KD relies a bit too much on his j.

    i see what they meant in smack about how long arms and big mitts help you finish better around the rim. durant finished a lot more shots at the end of the vid. and jj’s handles are tiiight

    I love how it seems like KD just eats, sleeps, and LIVES basketball. Dude isn’t even 23 yet, already one of best in the world, and clearly has excellent work ethic. Sky is the limit.

    This was fun to watch. And yeah, it makes you appreciate JJ that much more. Durant and his effortless jumper makes most of these exercises that much more useless, in reality. If I were his trainer, I wouldn’t let him settle for jumpers in most of the workouts. Dude needs to get strong and KNOW he can get inside and do what he wants. He might not enjoy it, but it would help him quite a bit.

    Im just like everyone else. JJ controls the ROCK better than Sean Carter.

    I’ve been impressed with that guy since he came out of Arkansas. He was #1 on my list of guys for the Bulls to pair up with Derrick Rose this summer. A backcourt of Rose and Johnson would give headaches to opposing defenses with the Fire and ice combo. Unfortunately for Rose, JJ is about that paper and took a bloated contract over winning.

    JJ is supposed to be 6’8″ and Durant is listed at 6’9″ damn but definitely looks like KD is at least 3 inches taller.

    KD is 6’10-11 some people even say 7 foot, he just lists himself as shorter so he doesn’t get played at PF.
