NBA players are people too. Some might have fine tastes in fine cognacs while others go to clubs so nice that their bouncers wouldn’t let me in if Diddy told them to. Derrick Rose is going to win multiple championships. That’s straight from the MVP’s mouth. Doesn’t it really feel as if Rose won the MVP like five years ago? Between the lockout, Capital Punishment and Kevin Durant becoming the story of the summer, D-Rose became lost in the shuffle. As I’ve said before, volleyball might be one of my favorites sports to watch. I’m dead serious. Some of these dudes can fly. They might not be as graceful as the best basketball players, but the process of jumping 40 inches in the air, and then smashing a ball down towards the faces of an opponent is pretty dope. And if you’ve never been to a women’s volleyball game, you seriously need to reevaluate your stance on life (instead of having stuff like lingerie basketball, why can’t we just have a solid professional women’s volleyball league with TV contracts and teams all across the country?). Ever since Daniel Craig took over as James Bond, I’ve sort of drifted from the series. Of course when the newer Bond movies are on Spike or some other random channel, I’m reeled in – and there’s little I can do about it. There’s just something disarming. I fall for it all. The girls, the ridiculous escapes, the enemy’s atrocious aim.
Ultimately, though, nothing ever defined the Bond series as much as GoldenEye, the video game for Nintendo 64. It was my first ever first-person shooter, my first real video game memory.
