Black Market Wares “LJ” T-Shirt

Black Market Wares

You’d be surprised how many clothing brands I come across each month. And while there are many that are bound to be one-hit wonders, there are others that you see a bright future for in an overcrowded market. Black Market Wares is one of those brands. Based out of New York, BMW likes to think of themselves as a movement more than a brand. And paying tribute to an iconic figure in NYC sports history, the “LJ” shirt is their flagship product. Though long removed from the limelight, this symbol still resonates with Knicks fans everywhere. Read More »

John Wall Plays Basketball Without A Ball

John Wall

First of all, you’ve probably noticed, but there’s a pretty dope video of John Wall at the top of this page talking about his new kicks and breaking out as a player. To add to that, ESPN released the No. 40-ranked player on their ESPN Rank Project this morning, and it turned out to be Mr. Dougie. After that, bloggers and analysts took over Twitter to talk about whether Wall should already be ranked that high after just one season. Wall is literally everywhere today, and there’s a chance he is playing ball without a ball right now. Read More »

Skylar Diggins Shows You Her Offseason Workout

Last season, Skylar Diggins led Notre Dame to the NCAA national championship game and their third Final Four appearance. This year, second place isn’t an option. The crafty southpaw made a nearly-seamless transition to the point guard position, averaging 15.0 points, 4.8 assists and 1.9 steals per game, and is ready to ascend to the throne as college basketball’s best player. How competitive is she? Let’s just say her workout is called the “Metabolic Meltdown,” and is unlike anything you’ve ever seen.

The Ultimate Summer Ballplayer

Brandon Jennings

Remember back when it was okay to play ball for three or four hours every day? In the summer, you could wake up at 9 a.m. and hit the YMCA, or you could wait until the sun dipped behind the shadows and ball at 9 at night. It really didn’t matter. Basketball was all that mattered. Not bills. Not school. Not a job. Not cars or gas or clothes or girls or money or the future. Your entire life revolved around a 94 by 50 rectangle, a ball, a hoop and whoever else wanted to share it with you. Read More »

NBA Fantasy Team Analysis: The Minnesota Timberwolves

Kevin Love

What can one say about the Minnesota Timberwolves that David Kahn already hasn’t? This team has one fantasy monster and a bunch of dudes who aren’t good for much else than rounding out the end of your roster. With timeshares bound to happen at multiple positions, it’ll take a lot of boldness for fantasy owners to draft most of these players. Read More »

Nolan Smith is one of the greatest players to ever come out of the DMV. And with the NBA lockout raging, the incoming rookie needed to somehow satiate his hoops jones this summer. The following mixtape features highlights from the Greater NC Pro-Am and Nike Pro City in D.C., and after watching, you’ll realize that he’s just getting started.

Tony Parker Predicts a Championship; Kobe Bryant Could Make $1 Million For 1 Game

Tony Parker

Tony Parker basically just predicted a title. “If I play the entire season, we’ll go for the title,” he told the French daily L’Equipe. Did we catch you? He’s not talking about an NBA championship. Parker just signed to play with ASVEL Villeurbanne, the French League team of which he is a part owner. Should the lockout continue to drag on, TP will be in Europe balling for $1,995 a month, and he says if he’s there all season, the squad is going to win a title. Pretty lofty expectations. It could just be a reflex of being in a lockout and away from the Spurs. Read More »
