Brandon Jennings’ Flag Football Team Takes Out DeMar DeRozan, Matt Barnes & Corey Maggette

Who’s the best football player in the NBA? It’s nearly impossible to say, even after what Kevin Durant did recently, playing ball with some frat kids. But what we can conclude is that Brandon Jennings’ flag football squad is the best team. After beating Nick Young‘s squad recently (check out the behind-the-scenes photos here), Jennings and AIS beat DeMar DeRozan, Corey Maggette and Matt Barnes‘ COMP10 team this weekend 70-63 to go to 5-0. It was controversial; the game should’ve ended on an earlier touchdown by Brandon Jennings, but COMP10 somehow called an illegal timeout during the middle of the play and AIS had to score all over again. Hit the jump for the rest of the behind-the-scenes photos.

Thanks goes to our fam Cassy Athena for the photos.

Gerald Wallace. The only guy that would be diving for “tackles” and going 110% percent all game.

Next, Manu Ginobili. The only guy hitting you with the Eurostep off the line of scrimmage. The general herky-jerky nature of his movements creating space to catch the ball. He’d be lined up on the right side, 3rd & goal, Eurostep-back corner fade FTW, in the front of the endzone.

Final pick, Chae Budinger. He just seems like he does this every day anyway. You might never pay attention to him or guard him that closely because he is white and has red hair, next thing you your team lost and your man had 12 catches and 2TDs.

Flag Football? I have to say John Wall right now . . . after watching him at the Drew League game in Long Beach, I don’t think I’ve seen anyone as fast as that guy . . . not just straight ahead speed . . talking changing direction speed as well
