Merry Christmas from Dime and the NBA
8. Detroit Pistons
As good as the Nuggets are at holiday videos, the Pistons destroy them.
This is an ad for the greatest fake holiday album ever made, “The Pistons Holiday Classics.”
I really wish this album actually existed since it includes tracks like:
“Rodney the Red Nosed Point Guard” – Chucky Atkins
“Hark the Charlie’s Angels Sing” – Charlie Villanueva
“The Twelve Dayes of Christmas” – Austin Daye
“3-Point Bells” – Tayshaun Prince
“Ballin’ Around the Christmas Tree” – Rodney Stuckey
“All I Want for Christmas is My 3pt Shot” – Kwame Brown
“Dunk the Balls” – Jason Maxiell
“Grandma Got Run Over by Rip Hamilton” – Ben Gordon
“Ben Wallace is Coming to Town” – Will Bynum
“Kwame the Snowman” – Rip Hamilton
Highlight: Piston’s PA Announcer Mason is the hype man for the album.
Favorite Line: “Kwame the Snowman was a jolly happy soul”
The Pistons also do a version of “T’was the Night before Christmas” which is quite amusing but it’s not as great as this Rasheed Wallace masterpiece:
Nothing tops Rasheed Wallace, a young Amir Johnson, Jason Maxiell and Will Blaylock “singing” “Jingle Bells.” Rasheed steals the show dropping a remix in the middle of the song.
Like Rasheed says, “Hey to everybody out there, big people, little people, everybody from all of us (At Dime) to all of you – Merry Christmas and have a happy New Year’s!”
