Deron Williams is probably feeling mad lonely right now over there in Jersey. Dwight Howard this, and Chris Paul wants to go here and everyone wants to team up. Well Williams is sort of stuck in a weird spot in Jersey: He’s with a team in transition, a franchise that has a future but aren’t quite sure what it is yet and while he holds a lot of power, his situation isn’t as sexy as CP going to the Big Apple or Dwight moving to Hollywood. And… here we go again. It wasn’t too long ago Carmelo Anthony was spitting the same thing Chris Paul is apparently doing right now. Yahoo! Sports reports that Paul has informed the Hornets he will not sign a contract extension with them and that he wants to be traded to the New York Knicks. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: One of the best things to come out of the NBA lockout was John Wall dominating every game he played. Everywhere. Thankfully, our friends at The Mars Reel were there almost every step of the way. With that, check out Wall’s (other, other) official lockout mixtape. Read More »

You don’t find many players as consistent as David West. But coming off a major knee injury, no one knows exactly what to expect when the 31-year-old hits the court again this season. Before his injury last year, West was averaging 18.9 points and 7.6 rebounds per game while shooting 50.8 percent from the field – second highest of his career. And if you ask him now, he’ll tell you he’s never been better. Read More »

Jim Buss may finally be willing to part with his love child, his project and his identity. Ever since the executive took over operations within the Laker organization, there was a belief he created a divide. Andrew Bynum was his guy, the person he worked to get drafted and the player he believed in. But finally, as Dwight Howard‘s name gets pushed further into the open market, a source around the organization told CBSSports.com that Buss has dropped his opposition to trading the big man “for the right deal.” Read More »
