Lou Williams Treats Gunman To A Free Meal

Lou Williams

And they say NBA players are all thugs, bad guys and don’t do anything for the community. Our man Lou Williams does a lot. He stopped an armed robbery yesterday. On himself. With a free meal. Yes, before he went out and dropped 25 last night in a close loss in Portland, Williams was approached by a man with a gun this weekend. But instead of getting robbed, Williams says the man noticed who he was and stopped because of all the work Williams does in the community. Read More »

Andray Blatche Rips Flip Saunders & Washington’s Play-Calling

Andray Blatche

Already this year, we’ve seen Washington get embarrassed at home in a preseason game and now they’ve lose their opener to the New Jersey Nets after going up 36-12 in the first half. Afterwards, disagreements between players and coaches spilled into the media; Andray Blatche ripped Flip Saunders‘ play-calling and offense after he heard some remarks from the coach that appeared to be directed at him. Sound familiar? With a talented group completely devoid of leadership, these first few weeks of basketball have me worried all over again about that team in Washington. They should be turning a corner this year. But first, they have to get over themselves. Read More »

Daily Fantasy Diagnosis: 12.27

Stephen Curry

Beast of the Night: Stephen Curry followed up his forgettable opening night with 21 points, seven rebounds, 10 assists, six steals and a three-pointer. He shot 58 percent (7-12) from the field, 86 percent (6-7) from the free throw line and had four turnovers. Sadly, Curry’s big night ended on a sour note when the guard landed on Kyle Korver’s foot and reinjured that balky right ankle. Keep an eye on his status. Read More »

The Kings Crown Themselves Against The Lakers; Dallas Gets Embarrassed Again

Tyreke Evans

Lamar Odom, Dwight Howard and Chris Paul aren’t walking through that door. The Lakers are what they are right now: an 0-2 team searching for a spark. They took a beheading at the hands of the Kings last night in Sacramento, 100-91 and while everyone wants to drive the stake into them after two games, maybe we should just give some credit to the Kings. Tyreke Evans (20 points on 13 shots) was a monster again last night, and Marcus Thornton (27 points on 13 shots) was dropping bombs on ‘em Outkast-style throughout the second half. Every time L.A. threatened, one of those two made a big offensive play, or DeMarcus Cousins out-hustled everyone in yellow for the ball. Read More »
