Nike Air Force 1 Low Supreme “Year of the Dragon” Edition

In what has become an annual tradition, Nike has once again drawn inspiration from the Chinese zodiac for the release of this winter’s “Year of the Dragon” collection. With impeccable attention to detail, four models have been reworked to capture their association with the mythical creature. It’s time to take a closer look at the Nike Air Force 1 Low Supreme.

The Air Force 1 is irreplaceable for Nike and its fans. The design team drew inspiration from dragon robe – which implies good fortune in Chinese culture – with the Nike Air Force 1 Low Supreme. The cloud-and-dragon pattern on the tongue and the dragon design on the black silk texture of the sides and upper evoke memories of royalty in China. The cloud-and-bat pattern on the sole is another derivative from dragon robe. The Chinese character ‘Long’ (dragon) is on the counter, the suede panel on the midsole and the wax-finished shoelaces.
