Performance Meets Sustainability In Nike Hyper Elite Platinum Unis

In a presentation hybridizing performance, art and sustainability, Nike released a new series of its Hyper Elite Platinum uniforms this morning, making another move in the advancement of style meeting sport. The nine teams featured will each wear the jerseys once this season, against non-Nike opponents nonetheless.
The University of Arizona, Baylor University (women’s), Duke University, University of Florida, University of Kentucky, Syracuse University, University of Connecticut (men’s and women’s) and University of North Carolina all debuted grey-dominated jerseys that are five percent lighter than their old uniforms.
And they’re in tune with the environment. Each uniform is made with an equivalent of about 22 plastic water bottles.
Matching warm-ups with each school’s national championships listed on the backs accompany the get-up. Oh, and they also have matching Nike Zoom Hyperenforcers to go with it.
Here’s the schedule of match-ups.
UConn vs. Notre Dame (1/29)
Kentucky vs. Tennessee (1/31)
Duke vs. Maryland (2/11)
Baylor (women’s) vs. Texas A&M (2/11)
Florida vs. Tennessee (2/11)
Syracuse vs. USF (2/22)
Arizona vs. UCLA (2/25)
UConn (women’s) vs. Notre Dame (2/27)
