The 10 Biggest Wardrobe Fails in NBA Draft History

Every year on NBA Draft night, the players invited to the green room dress to impress for their Kodak moment. While none of these guys strive to embarrass themselves on their special night, there have been a handful over the years that have made embarrassing wardrobe decisions.

As we approach draft night, lets take a look back at the 10 biggest wardrobe fails in NBA Draft history.

*** *** ***

10. STEVE NASH
Steve’s tie is ridiculous. The rest of his outfit was fine but his tie alone solidified a spot for him in our top 10. There’s a lot going on there.

9. GHEORGHE MURESAN
I remember going to the Shaw’s Pro Summer League in Boston when I was younger and I happened to catch Muresan stretching before the game. He wasn’t a star by any means, but as a nine-year-old, I was obviously in awe of his 7-7 frame. I decided to go up and ask for his autograph like most kids my age would do. Muresan told me to “forget about it” with his strong Romanian accent. While my personal vendetta against Muresan will always be because of his bad attitude towards the child version of myself, it made me feel a little better inside after I found him sporting this horrendous outfit on draft night.

8. HAKEEM OLAJUWON
Before they spelled his name with the H, Olajuwon was seen on draft night looking like Jeffrey the Butler. The suit is obviously not ugly. It’s classy. However, Olajuwon must of had a wedding to be in immediately after he was selected because the threads do not fit the setting.

7. BOBBY JACKSON
Jackson made a loud statement by wearing a royal blue suit to the podium for his 23rd selection. To make matters worse, the jacket had more buttons on it than a TV remote.

6. ERICK DAMPIER
Dampier was another draftee that decided to put a lot of color into his draft night wardrobe selection. His bright red suit is a fashion fail that never has trended and never will.

5. TIM THOMAS
Thomas clearly had a wardrobe malfunction when it came to the size of his suit. His tailor must have had the wrong measurements because his all-white pinstriped suit was about three sizes too big.

4. JOAKIM NOAH
The combination of his suit, bow-tie and awful hair gives Noah one of the top spots on our all-time ugly list.

3. KARL MALONE
Big-time fail. The rest of Karl’s tie did not deliver.

2. SAMAKI WALKER
Really dude? The hat is just priceless. See you at the next player’s ball.

1. JALEN ROSE
Rose has to be the worst influence on a sportscaster’s wardrobe ever. At this point in Craig Sager‘s career, it looks as if he was making reasonable choices with his attire and wasn’t making outlandish decisions. But it seems that since this interview, it’s been all downhill from there.

What’s been the worst look at the draft that you’ve ever seen?
