NBA Trade News: Eric Bledsoe Traded as Part of Three-Team Deal

Eric Bledsoe

There have been Eric Bledsoe trade rumors popping up for months now after it became painfully clear that the Clippers were not going to be able to keep him and Chris Paul. Bledsoe became an asset that had to be moved, and it’s been on L.A. to get the best possible return on him.

Tonight, the Clips pulled the trigger on a three-team deal that actually netted them pieces that will instantly improve their team.

Adrian Wojnarowski broke the news earlier tonight with this tweet:

Eric Bledsoe and Caron Butler will go to the Suns, Jared Dudley and JJ Redick to the Clippers and 2 2nd-round picks to Bucks, sources tell Y

At first look, this is a great deal for L.A. right? They add an offensive weapon in Redick and a do-everything guy in Dudley. Big win all the way around for them.

What do you think of the trade?

This is a sideways move, if not a step backwards. Dudley is a younger Butler, but Reddick is not an upgrade over Bledsoe. Perhaps Paul should take LESS money to have kept good players on the team?!?!?

After all, isn’t he all about winning and putting great players on the roster?

I’d say the Suns came out the best in this trade. A proven veteran in Butler and a young player with potential in Bledsoe. Reddick is a bench player and Dudley, imo is a 3 pt shooter only, pretty one dimensional. Haven’t watched Dudley play too much but I guess he would be a nice role player for the Clippers. Actually, now looking at their depth chart. He may be starting at the 3 spot. We’ll see how that works out…..Meanwhile, my Bucks always coming out on the losing end of a trade. Lol, not really. Two 2nd round picks for a bench player is not bad.
