The Mavs Marketing department is special. Maybe it’s Mark Cuban‘s influence, but they routinely come up with zany, off-the-wall videos and skits that are smart and funny without trying too hard. Whether it’s Dirk Nowitzki on game day, letting fans design the next jersey, or spoofing a viral Internet hit we didn’t even know about, they bring the laughs. Their latest ties in television show Cheers with a Maverick-headed “We Will Rock You.”
We especially like the various expressions they’ve included with Dirk as Ted Danson‘s Sam Malone and Shawn Marion as Woody Harrelson‘s, Woody Boyd. For the latter, we can’t really tell if that’s who the Matrix is playing since we haven’t see Cheers in a while. Regardless, sticking various player heads on characters from Cheers while set to a rocking soundtrack is always going to get a cheer from us.
