Despite scoring a game-high 32 points against the Nets in overtime Sunday night, Mavericks guard Monta Ellis didn’t get to enjoy a win. Brooklyn took it, 107-104, after some timely shooting by his counterpart, Joe Johnson. With Dirk Nowitzki struggling from the field, Monta shouldered a heavier load on offense, and we got to see another incredible layup when he drove baseline.
He might be a notorious shot chucker, and a he might get stuck in a mid-range malaise on occasion, but there are few players in the NBA today who can make fans exclaim in wonder more than Monta Ellis during a sojourn to the iron. This gorgeous reverse is just another example.
