Russell Westbrook Starts Thunder’s Stomp Of Lakers With Steal & Slam

After the Thunder’s embarrassing loss to the lowly Lakers this past week, you just knew they’d get their revenge on TNT Thursday night. Kevin Durant poured in his usual silky 29, and Russell Westbrook matched that total in just 23 minutes of action. #WhyNot Russ started things off by getting a steal right after the tip and throwing down some thunder on the other end.

Aside from his 29 points (4-of-7 from deep), Russ had nine assists, three steals and a block in just 23 minutes. The lopsided victory in OKC’s favor attempted to atone for their surprising loss to the Lakers earlier in the week.

Hopefully the worry about Westbrook’s rocky return back into OKC’s lineup abates a tad as the Thunder battle for the No. 1 seed in the West through the season’s last month.
