After Drayton took down OSU, the next upset on the opening day of the 2014 NCAA Tournament hailed from the Ivy League. Harvard downed No. 5 Cincinnati for just their second NCAA Tournament win in school history. Not only that, but a pair of seniors, Siyani Chambers and Brandyn Curry, overcame a cheating scandal to help give Harvard their second win in the NCAA tournament in consecutive years years, the first time that’s ever happened. In fact, prior to 2012, Harvard hadn’t even been in the Tourney since 1966.

The Crimson rebounded the ball well, played unselfish basketball — their leading scorer Wesley Saunders only finished with 12, but two others cracked double-digits and two more had nine — didn’t get flustered on the big stage and took down the regular season American Athletic Conference champs. Harvard never trailed after falling down 6-5 and overcame a stout Cincy defense to survive until Saturday.

A few Houston Rockets were pleased with the outcome:

Who will get upset next?

I was stoked at first but then I looked in my 14 man pool and no one had Cinci winning. That’s weirder than Harvard winning.
