PONY Launching SE Atmos & Wish Collaborations

Set for release on April 25, PONY is bringing a pair of exciting collaborations to sneakerheads and casual fans alike. The Pony x Wish colloboration, represented by Atlanta’s famous sneaker boutique, Wish in Atlanta’s Lil 5 Points, celebrates the year of the horse. The PONY x Atmos project has been labeled “New York State of Mind,” (h/t Nas) with “Red Apple” and “Statue of Liberty Green” colorways. You aren’t going to want to miss these simultaneous special edition launches coming later this month.

The PONY x Wish collab features a red/black color block composition that juxtaposes the pony hair with hits of reflective material that make the sneakers stand out.

A limited edition will come cradled in custom made wooden boxes, courtesy of Brooklyn’s Good Wood.

“I wanted to come together on this project to show unity between small shops and boutiques! I respect and admire Paul’s (Atmos) work and what he brings to the footwear and apparel industry … with that being said, with this launch hopefully other small retailers will catch on to this same theory and we can do more projects like this together across the globe!” – Frank, Wish

The PONY x Atmos launch collaboration is being called “New York State Of Mind.” Atmos enjoys the slam dunk as inspiration and so came up with two renditions that pay homage to the birthplace of playground basketball: New York City.

The combo pack features a purifid upper made of premium soft suede resting on top of a vulcanized rubber sole. The sneaker is decorated with NYC’s most famous symbols, like the I “chevron” NY woven tongue label beside the Statue of Libery printed sock liner. Tonal stitching, tonal eyelets continue the minimalist aesthetic and an Atmos logo is etched on the heel.

Additional to the combination pack, Atmos will be releasing a Starter pack of complimenting snapbacks and fleece tops.

As with the Pony x Wish collaboration, PONY is building a limited number of special wooden boxes handcrafted by Brooklyn’s Good Wood team, and they will release a “how it’s made” behind the scenes video.

“At the end of the day, it’s not about competition, we all want to win so why not support one another. I have a ton of respect for Frank (Wish) and a lot people who do what we do on a daily basis. They motivate me to keep pushing”. – Paul , ATMOS

The PONY x Atmos launch will be celebrated by an event at ATMOS in Harlem, NY with sounds by DJ Clark.
