Brandon Jennings Ignites The Drew League In Week 9

The Drew League in Los Angeles is an active hotbed for summer basketball, providing fans a much-needed relief from the lull of the offseason. Fans never know who will lace up their kicks when they walk through the doors at King Drew High School. Coming off a jaw-dropping 57-point performance in Week 8, The Clozers’ and current Detroit Piston Brandon Jennings once again dazzled the crowd with a 56-point showing. After back-to-back 50-point weekends he was again named Drew League Player of the Week – and rightfully so.

Rapper The Game brought in a few NBA stars to join him in Week 9, recruiting DeMar DeRozan, Kyle Lowry, Terrence Ross and Metta World Peace to play for his La Familia team. World Peace was named the top performer of La Familia’s match with Problems, putting up 19 points and eight rebounds.

Look out for Jennings’ stellar performance, some monster throw downs and the ever-impressive craftiness of Baron Davis’s ball-handling, who is reportedly aiming to make an NBA comeback. As you can see, The Drew continues to emerge as a powerhouse in summer basketball.
