Plain-Dealer Front Pages Tell Stories Of LeBron’s Decisions

The Cleveland Plain-Dealer mocked LeBron James on its front page four years ago by pointing out that he’d failed to win a championship ring in seven seasons with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Like the rest of Northeast Ohio, though, the paper has already forgiven and forgotten. Clevelanders will wake up to a far, far different image from the Plain-Dealer tomorrow morning than the one they did after LeBron’s first decision.

This is the paper’s front page on July 9th, 2009.

Here’s the image that will adorn the Plain-Dealer tomorrow morning.

The paper might be leading the forgiveness bandwagon, but Cavs fans don’t exactly need to be nudged that direction. The website of Fresh Brewed Tees, creator of the ever-popular ‘FOR6IVEN’ t-shirts, crashed in the moments after LeBron announced his decision. Cleveland, obviously, is fully onboard with accepting James’ return.

What do you think of the Plain-Dealer’s new front page?
