Watch LeBron Cheering On His Son At AAU Tournament

LeBron James is the best player in the world, but give him a front-row seat at his son’s basketball game and he turns into a typical dad.

Since announcing his return to Cleveland, LeBron has kept a relatively low profile, especially compared to the theatrics that came after The Decision in 2010. He attended the World Cup Finals in Brazil and asked his fans for their thoughts on which jersey number to wear next season.

He went fishing with his sons, too:

But other than that, James has kept a low profile.

Over the weekend, LeBron was in Lexington, Kentucky to watch his son LeBron Jr. play in the AAU Fourth Grade Division I championship tournament.

LeBron was very animated from his court-side seat. He was barking out instructions at his son but later took the time to celebrate after LeBron Jr. converted a layup. You can watch his reactions in the video below:

It’s worth noting LeBron was also seen chatting with John Calipari. We assume it was a particularly interesting conversation given reports the Cavaliers offered Calipari a lot of money to leave Kentucky and become their head coach earlier this off-season. Calipari turned down the offer.

This, of course, happened before LeBron’s decision to return.
