Kobe Bryant Performs ALS Challenge By Submerging Entire Body In Cold Tub

This is how Michael Jordan would perform the ALS Challenge, LeBron. Not by getting probably tepid water – we don’t see any ice here! – poured on him by two seemingly random people on a yacht in the Mediterranean.

Just finished training, so ice bath is everyday. Mi hija Gianna recording my #ALSIceBucketChallenge. #checkthetemp #icewaterplunge Learn more about ALS and donate at ALSA.org

More seriously, should Kobe’s submergence even count as completion of the #ALSIceBucketChallenge? There’s no bucket, no ice, and Bryant cold-tubs all the time! Perhaps he’d get the desired effect if he cannon-balled into the tub – while minding his achilles and knees, of course – as opposed to merely dipping his head below the surface. There’s little shock to the body gleaned from the latter.

And that’s even before considering the very likely possibility that the thermometer was manipulated.

Whose ALS Challenge was worse: LeBron’s or Kobe’s?
