This play from last night could have acted as a metaphor for this Lakers season so far. It featured Kobe Bryant alone on the break attacking two Suns players at the rim with a third arriving to give help. He hangs in the air, gets temporarily tied up by Markieff Morris, spins 180 degrees and throws it off the backboard for the bucket and a chance to add a free throw…
Aside from Jeremy Lin barely crossing half-court, there isn’t another Laker anywhere near Bryant as he made his lonely foray for the one-man fast break.
The Lakers lost, obviously, and we’ll have more from the game, including Kobe’s frustrated reaction while his one-man Lakers team remains winless in the 2014-15 season.
Will Kobe figuratively kill a teammate this year?
