Watch Nerlens Noel Show Off Impressive Floor Game with Behind-The-Back Dish

Some would surely say that we’ve been devoting too much time to Nerlens Noel at this space in the season’s early going, and there’s merit behind that critique. The rookie isn’t putting up huge numbers and plays for arguably the worst team in the league. But frankly, it’s just hard not to get excited about the all-encompassing defensive potential Noel shows on a nightly basis – the 20 year-old is a freak athlete with crazy length and natural instincts. If his skills on the other end ever catch up? Get ready to read even more about Noel. The 6-11 center flashed his raw offensive gifts tonight against the Orlando Magic by leading the break and finding Alexey Shved for an easy layup with a slick behind-the-back dish.

What? The dude is 6-11!

Noel’s offensive game right now mostly consists of quick jumpers and one-dribble drives, so perhaps such playmaking ability shouldn’t shock. Any time we see a center attacking in transition, though, we always fear disaster. Noel not only made the right play here, but did so with shocking ease.

The guy is going to be really good.
