Jack Osbourne Is Making A Reality Show About Police Dogs, Is A-OK In My Book

One of the greatest disappointments I’ve ever experienced — alongside such travesties as Michael McCary leaving Boyz II Men for health reasons, and sometimes forgetting to ask for cheese on my omelette — was TNT passing on their police dog drama, Scent of the Missing, starring Tricia Helfer. THAT SHOW HAD EVERYTHING: DOGS, TRICIA HELFER, ETC. I was furious about it then, and I didn’t think I’d ever get over it.

But then a hero came along, and that hero was Jack Osbourne. Son of Ozzy Osbourne. You’re probably confused. Allow me to elaborate.

Osbourne will executive-produce — but not appear in –a new series, Alpha Dogs, for Nat Geo WILD.

The new reality show will follow the training regimen behind the elite K-9s of Indiana’s Vohne Liche Kennels, who have served police departments, the Secret Service, and even participated in the hunts for Saddam Hussein and Osama Bin Laden. […]

“’Alpha Dogs’ will focus on these highly trained dog heroes that have muscle and smarts,” Nat Geo WILD executive vice president and general manager Geoff Daniels said of the project. “Our viewers will love to see the incredible drills and exercises the dogs undergo, follow the instruction process with their dedicated trainers who carry top security clearances, see the application in the field for military and police units, and even watch the fun they have playing fetch on their days off.” [The Wrap]
