Today, adidas will be releasing their highly-anticipated collaboration sneaker with Brooklyn-based streetwear brand Lemar and Dauley. Check out the L&D site – the bright colors and patterns on the shoe are similar to ones used in their clothing.
Personally, i think these sneakers are dope (VERY VERY FRESH!!!) and they won’t put a hole in your pocket. They will be released at select locations and should retail at about $115.

After winning his 800th game against N.C. State a few weeks back, Coach K had the honor of having a pair of Air Force 1s made in his honor to celebrate the occasion (how many coaches can you think with their own signature kicks??).
The best part of this whole thing might be the box, as Nike went all out in terms of packaging and presentation. Don’t count on getting a pair of these for your own collection though – the pair you see here are 1-of-1 produced. Read More »

If you didn’t get the memo or watch the MLB postseason, LeBron is a Yankees fan. So you know it’s only right that he gets himself some customized Lebron V kicks that rep his favorite team.
These were released yesterday at the Nike/Foot Locker House of Hoops store in Harlem and are a must-have for any sneaker/Yankee-lovin’ New Yorker.
‘Bron wore them last night in the Garden for the 50-spot he put on the Knicks.

Of all the Jordan 11 Countdown Packages that will be released this year, the one that is receiving a lot of attention is the 16/7 Pack – and for good reason. This is the first time the 16s have been retro’d and more importantly, the pack features the “Hare Jordans,” (aka the Jordan 7s for you average joes). Read More »

Growing up in NYC during the early ’90s was great for me and this is one of the reasons why. I’m hoping the 1991 Dunk Contest rings a bell; if it doesn’t, then go see a doctor and get your brain checked. That was the year Dee Brown pumped his kicks and took off and dunked it while covering his eyes. Dee took home top honors over Shawn Kemp, and in the process made these Reebok Pumps and instant classic. This sneaker brings back SO many memories for me — definitely a must-cop. These pumps pretty much stay true to the original pumps, only these have a no-look Dee Brown insole. The official release date is April 1st, so do yourself a favor and go get a pair.

No Mas and Puma come together again to bring you four new versions of the Puma X No Mas First Rounds. These limited edition hi-tops are inspired by the teams who have been impacted by the unpredictability of “The Lottery.” It was a concept that No Mas explored in the best art show we’ve ever been to last summer right before the NBA Draft.
The first release is an L.A.-inspired shoe that reps the Lakers’ legacy. The shoe features black leather with purple embroidered lottery balls. It also comes with three sets of laces with “No MAS” on the lace tips and has “The Lottery” on the inner tongue. A limited number of the shoes will drop exclusively at UNDEFEATED Las Vegas on February 13, a nice treat for those attending the Magic Tradeshow.

Peep this equation and tell me what comes to mind:
NBA All-Star Game + New Orleans.
Any visuals? If you’re drawing a blank, let me paint the picture. Nike is set to release a new Air Force 1 for this year’s NBA All-Star Weekend in the Big East: the AF1 Low Supreme QS. The sneaker features faux stingray skin, black patent leather mid-panel, and a New Orleans Hornets-colored blue patent leather heel. Can’t forget about the translucent mid-sole/sole that features a cool air bubble unit. Look for these to hit select Nike QS dealers on February 16. Read More »

The music industry will never suffer from a lack of new and talented unsigned hype trying to break into the game. That’s where Philadelphia’s own Reed Dollaz comes in. Growing up in the Bartram Village Projects in southwest Philly, the 21-year-old MC honed his craft as a battle rapper, taking on — and usually beating — anyone willing to accept the challenge. (Check him out HERE.) Reed soon became a local underground star, dropping four independent albums since 2005, along with a ton of mixtapes and DVDs. Along the way he appeared on 106 & Park’s “Freestyle Friday” and has worked with Young Joc, Freeway, Gille Da Kid and Roscoe P. Coldchain in the booth. Still trying to break into the mainstream scene, Reed Dollaz has signed with Beyond Bars Entertainment and has a new album forthcoming. I recently had a chance to get up with the up-and-comer about how he’s gotten to where he is, and what he has planned for the future.
Dime: How did you get started?
Reed Dollaz: I’ve been doing this since I was 11. I was always real heavy in the underground due to YouTube and MySpace. I’ve been in every battle, every cipher. I was meeting the right people, being at all the right places.
Dime: Philly has a reputation for producing battle rappers, not necessarily all-around MCs who can make a hot album. How do you feel about that perception? Would you consider yourself a battle rapper? Read More »
